Recap.

Last weeks activities included:

  • I baked yet another birthday cake. (this makes 4 this month)

  • Lyllee decided that she is NOW ready to start potty training again. Hopefully, this time takes.

  • Andy bit through his tongue on Friday and it bled like crazy!

  • I started watching FRIENDS again. I am working on Season 4 right now. Yeah!

  • Hyrum went to a gaming party at school too. (not too eventful but, he had fun)

Lyllee also has a new favorite song. She calls it the "Ariel Song." Since her favorite movie is the Little Mermaid right now, it was only natural that she would start singing one of the songs from it.

Here are a few moments from the week. The kids decided on their future careers.

Lyllee wants to be a shoe model.

Andy is prepping to be a plumber.

Andy's Birthday

Andy turned one on August 29th. We had a party at Meuller Park, with good food and family. Andy had soo much fun diggin' into his birthday cake.

His favorite part of the whole night was the presents! (Of course.)

It was a fun night.

Andy has grown so much in the past year:

Day one. (6 lbs. 7 oz. 19 1/4" long)
Three months. (11 lbs. 12 oz. 23 1/2" long)
Six months. (13 lbs. 14 oz. 26 1/2" long)
12 months. ( 20 lbs. 29" long) What a cutie.

Recently, Hyrum and I sort of changed roles. He is going to school full time, finishing up his bachelors and I started a new job a couple weeks ago at Smiths Market Place. I am a checker there. After two weeks I have to report that my feet hurt, I DON'T like to talk over the intercom, and remembering all the produce codes is near impossible. On the other hand, I get a break from mommy world for a few hours a day, and Hyrum gets some good bonding time with the kids.

I do need to tell about a little thing that happened to me the other night. It was around 6:30pm, and I was checking in the express lane. All the regular check stands were busy, and my lane was completely empty. So, my manager pulled in this lady that had like 25 items in her cart to my lane. She was soo grateful, and I was glad to have something to do. As I was checking her items two other customers came in and the second lady back yelled at the lady for coming through my lane.

Rude customer said, "That looks like a lot more than 15 items!"

The lady replied, "I'm sorry, they just pulled me over. Sorry."

Then rude customer says back, "It's pretty rude of you to make us who have less than 15 items wait!"

The lady was totally out of line, and where was she when I had an empty line??? Anyhow, I don't mind taking customers that have more than 15 items if I don't have anyone else..
