DisneyLand!! Part Three

The last part of our week was spent in Disney Land!! The first evening we attended Mickey's Halloween Party. The kids were so excited to dress up and go trick-or-treating around the park.
This was my very first visit at Disneyland, EVER! So, I was really excited! After dreaming of going all of my childhood, it was finally here! I can't even express the feelings I had when we walked through those gates. Pure Joy! It was everything I dreamed it would be. Except when it got dark and I had no idea where I was or what to do.. However, the kids had a great time trick-or-treating, riding rides and meeting all the Disney Villains.  The characters we found were REALLY COOL! They played their parts to the T!!

The next few days on the park were really fun too! We found more characters, rode more rides and ate tons of food!

 The highlight of Andy's day was when we found Captain Hook!

 Lyllee finally met her favorite Princess, Ariel! Sami was in so excited too that she couldn't speak. lol She just watched her. It was the cutest thing ever!

Madelyn had a wonderful time in the Bugs Land. She really enjoyed all the shade!

Of course life as a Princess isn't complete without a Pirate to stir up trouble every once in awhile. lol

We had so much fun in Disneyland that we were really sad to leave. 

The ride home took longer than we thought. We stopped in Vegas and stayed the night at Circus Circus. (BAD STACEY BAD BAD BAD!) I guess you get what you pay for right? lol I remember Circus Circus a lot better when I was a kid. Yuck! Never again! We visited the strip, went to the M&M store, the Coke store and then we were off. We left Vegas and never looked back! When we hit Levan, Utah we suddenly heard a BOOM and then THUMP THUMP THUMP! Yep, one of the treads split on the tire. Of course it was late at night and nothing around us for miles. The closest city was Nephi, about 25 minutes away. So, Hyrum pulled everything out of the back, took our spare tire out that luckily had air in it and changed the tires. We drove to Nephi and after driving around town with no place to stay we thought we would just try to drive the rest of the way home to Layton. :) *cough cough* Yes, the brightest idea we had at 11:50 at night. So, we drove super carefully and when we reached Orem something told me that we should just stop and stay somewhere. I mentioned this to Hyrum and he was thinking the same thing too. We found a place to stay, and took our sleeping kids one by one up to the room and finally went to bed at 2:00. The next morning we replaced the tire and were on our way. My brother, who lives maybe a mile or two away from the hotel asked why we didn't just call him. Oops! Why didn't I think to call my brother in the middle of the night?? Oh well.  We were too tired to even think straight.

I can't wait to take my kids back to Disneyland again. Now that I have gone once, I know what not to do and what things to do. We will be flying next time if at all possible and no stops at Circus Circus!

Trip to SeaWorld and DisneyLand: part two

After our super fun day at Sea World, we decided to go to the beach and swim in the ocean! Mom had never seen an ocean before, so dad made sure that would be one of the stops on our trip. This was probably one of our most favorite things we did on this trip. The kids were really sad to leave and kept asking to go back. Maybe next time we will have to plan for few days at the beach.

 Andy's favorite part of the day was standing at the shoreline waiting for the waves to come and splash him!(And to smash any and all sand castles his sister's built!)
