We went to Universal Studio's today! It was a blast! Where do I begin??
The first place we stopped was the House of Horrors. Um, yeah.. I hated that! lol They knew I was an easy target, they jumped out at me every time! I decided to switch sides with Hyrum since they were favoring the left side and sure enough they switched sides too and scared the crap out of me again! Hyrum thought it was hilarious and laughed through the rest of the maze. They must have cameras and walkie-talkies to tell the characters who to scare!
After the torment was over we walked around and found a few of my favorite characters.
A minion!
Lucy!
We love Lucy!
The escalators that took you from the top level of the park to the lower level were super crazy long! It was insane! It had to be at least two miles long from top to bottom.
The Transformers ride was really cool!
We thought the Simpson's ride was funny. My favorite part was when Maggie picks us up and tries to suck on our car like a binky! We also went on the studio tour where they had all the sets from movies and television shows. That was pretty fun. Despite the holiday, we were able to ride all the rides and go to all the attractions pretty fast and were out of there early in the afternoon.
After getting a quick lunch we decided to go walk the stars on Hollywood Blvd. Wow! That place is trashy! So many guys stopped us trying to get us to take a tour of Hollywood. They wouldn't leave us alone! So, we left. I had had enough so, we got back in the car and drove around in "the hills" where all the rich and famous live. Which by the way, they totally live like sardines in the mountains. Yuck!
We grew bored of that soon and headed over to Venice Beach. We walked the pier first to look at the shops. Hyrum said that it was a lot cooler when he was a missionary, he thought that it went down hill in the last ten years. It wasn't that great, I thought it looked more like a swap meet. We walked out to the beach and took some great pictures of the sunset and then walked along the coast until the sun went down.
We ate dinner at this really great Thai place by our hotel that the front desk guy suggested. It was really good! I had the terryaki Chicken and Hyrum had a Chicken Potato Curry thing that he really enjoyed. I thought it stunk. lol So I didn't tease him too much about his stinky dinner. lol And that was our day.
