Over the weekend we threw a double birthday party for Andy and our nephew Ammon. They are exactly a month apart from each other. Ammon was born on July 29, 2007 and Andy was born on August 29, 2007. We thought since their birthdays are so close and that it's summer, that we would have a backyard BBQ birthday party. Plus, it would give Hyrum's family a good excuse to get together. We set up a swimming pool, a little bounce castle and scattered toys all around the yard. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked it so, swimming was cut short. We did fill up the little kiddie pool with warm water, the kids seemed to gravitate there. They had fun in the water even though their poor little bodies were shivering from being so cold.

Aunt Rachel and cousin Abby.
Aunt Jenny and Lyllee eating her black (that's what she calls hamburgers)
Aunt Kenzie and cousin Victoria.
I decorated Andy's cake as a basketball. All he ever talks about these days are, basketball game this and basket ball game that. So, I decorated his cake as a basketball.
Andy stuck his finger to take a taste just as I took this. The little Scamp! lol

Ammon really likes cars right now, so his parents decorated his cake with cars. He really liked it. As he was eating his cake he kept pausing to look at his cars. He'd point at them and say, "cars! cars!" It was cute.
Present time was crazy. I could barely get any pictures of the boys opening their presents. Their cousins kept swarming around them like hyenna's wanting to play with all the toys they opened. Once Andy opened his golf club set he didn't want to open anything else. He walked around with his club saying, "bat! bat!" He thinks everything is a bat. (golf clubs, pipes, sticks, etc.) It's pretty funny.

The party was pretty fun. I really enjoyed spending time with Hyrum's family and watching the boys get so excited about their party. I love parties!
