10 Years of bliss!

Day One
We are celebrated 10 wonderful years this week by leaving the kids with my mom and flying over to California! Hyrum and I are going to go visit his stomping grounds from his mission, the Los Angeles, California mission. He has been dying to take me there for a few years now. So, this morning we hopped on a plane (my first real plane ride ever!) and started our journey in Los Angeles. We picked up our super cool rental car for the week.
The first place Hyrum took me was to the first apartments he lived in when he was on his mission. Then we headed over to the Redondo Beach boardwalk. It was kind of cool. There were lots of shops and restaurants, unfortunately most of the food places only accepted cash. We finally found a Mexican restaurant on the second level that we could go to. It was called El Torelto. The food was really great! I had the sour cream chicken enchiladas, YUM! The view was beautiful from our table, the ocean and beach right there.
After lunch we headed back to the car and drove along the coast line until we reached the Wayfarers Chapel (the Glass Chapel). It has been in a lot of movies. There was a wedding going on so we couldn't go inside. It was really pretty there though.
We walked around the grounds for a few minutes and then headed over to our hotel. We checked-in, took our bags to the room and then went over to the Los Angeles Temple. The temple has the most beautiful landscaping. It was cool to see all the Olive trees too. It's a pretty big temple to. Hyrum says there's a conference room inside that's the size of a football field! We walked around to the Visitor's Center and chatted with some of the sister missionaries.

To end the night, we went to the movies and saw, The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones)! It was awesome! We are having so much fun, I can't wait until Universal Studios tomorrow!
