So I got this great idea that I wanted to give the guest bathroom a little face lift. The baseboards looked like they had been to a war of moisture and the walls were too bare. I thought this would be a super easy fix, we could switch out the baseboards to match the rest of the upstairs, paint the walls and put a frame around the mirror. Sounds simple enough right? WRONG!!
At first there wasn't a problem at all. Hyrum took all the baseboards out and I taped everything off and prepared to paint the cupboards. Oh did I forget to mention that I add to the list of things to do and decided that the bathroom would look that much better if we painted the cupboards to? So, after I sanded the cupboards I primed them, and then painted them. I added bead board to the cupboard doors. I love it!! That was easy.

After the cupboard was dry I covered it up and painted the walls. I had a little trouble around the tub, i'm too short. Anyways, it turned out great! So after that paint dried I sent Hyrum in to put up the new baseboards. Here's where our super easy redo started to turn into a nightmare. When Hyrum started putting the new baseboards up he found that the vinyl flooring was too short and there would be lots of holes everywhere. When the old baseboards got wet they expanded and the people that fixed up this house to sell it just put the vinyl flooring up to the expanded baseboards, not under them. So, now we have a new item on the list of things to do. Buy new flooring. Yay..
That vinyl didn't want to come out, but after a few hours Hyrum chipped the last bit away and we were able to start tiling. Hyrum did a beautiful tile job.
Here is our finished guest bathroom, I think it turn out just great! Maybe we will start on the master bathroom soon!! haha
