Madelyn turned ONE, already?!

It's hard to believe that a whole year has already gone by since I was sitting at the hospital anxiously awaiting to meet the newest addition to our family.

Madelyn has been such a blessing in our family. She brings so much happiness to our home. One night a few months ago we were all seated around the dinner table talking about our days when this feeling of completion came over me as I looked around at our family. I knew that this was how it was supposed to be.

Madelyn was born on April 16, 2012. She has the sweetest little personality, she loves attention from anyone that will give it to her. My favorite thing about her is the super grin that she does when someone smiles at her. She loves to crawl around the house exploring new and fascinating things. She loves to help mom unload the dishwasher, the dryer, her dresser and most of all the drawer with all the sandwich bags in it. Her favorite thing to do is spending time with her big brother. They are so cute together. Andy just adores her. Her second favorite thing to do is taking baths. She gets so excited when we toss her in the tub and let her splash! Madelyn really loves to eat. Some of her favorite foods are bananas, rice, cinnamon toast, peas and strawberries.

March went by really fast it seems. Here are a couple of things that happened in March.

Crazy hair day at school.

It was Reading Month at school too. Each student was encouraged to read 100 minutes or more through the month. Then they could enter to win some prizes. The class who had the most minutes read won donuts too! Guess who's name was drawn???

That's right! ANDY won a Skylanders toy!! He was soo excited! After school, every person that he passed in the hall, outside and on our way to the car was informed that he WON! lol It was too cute!

Samantha had a Singing Program at school too. Miss Mary's class sang all the songs they have been learning since last September. She was so busy doing the actions that she forgot to sing half the time. It was pretty cute.

 Samantha was very proud of her ribbon that Miss Tiffiny gave her at the end of the program.

Almost there!

I'm almost caught up. 2012 is all done, Wahoo!! I will now start with 2013, not too much to post and maybe  now I will keep up with all the events going on now.

Christmas 2012

Christmas of 2012 was pretty calm at our house. All of the kids were sick with some nasty head cold that lasted through to New Years Day. It was horrible. Other than that everything went really smoothly. Here are some of the favorite gifts from Santa.

 All Andy wanted Santa to bring him for Christmas was a Hula-Hoop and a Big Gun!

 Lyllee asked Santa to bring her a Monster High Doll, an Art Set and a La-La Loopsy Doll.

 Madelyn didn't have much to ask for since it was her first Christmas and that she wasn't talking yet. She was thrilled with all of the paper that she could rip up and try to eat though.

 Samantha told Santa that she really really wanted a Brave Doll and Doctor Tools. She loves watching Doc McStuffins on the Disney Channel and tells us that she is going to be a just like Doc McStuffins when she grows up. In the bottom picture she is giving her Little Pony a shot of medicine so it can get better.
