My Best friends Wedding

One of my best friends from growing up got hitched this afternoon. Cyndee looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the isle, Jim couldn't take his eyes off of his bride to be. It was such a tender moment between those two. You could tell how happy and in love they are. I am so happy for Cyndee and Jim and the new adventure they have begun.

I had to sneak a picture of me and the beautiful bride.
We had a fantastic time at the wedding. The kids loved that it was up in the mountains and could explore the grounds. They loved all the little waterfalls and rocks they could climb on.

Independence Day with Kelly

My dad and I made a quick trip out to Wendover to see Kellie Pickler in concert for Independence day. It was a pretty good concert and I got to spend sometime with my dad. After the concert we were able to watch Wendover's firework show. Happy Independence Day!

Father Son Campout

Hyrum and Andy went on their annual father and son camp out this weekend. This year's camp out was at Peterson Park in Tremonton. Andy was excited to stop at Smith and Edwards store on the way and buy lots of candy for their trip. They also stopped at Arby's for dinner. When they reached the campground, they found a great spot for the night and setup their tent. They had a great time sitting by the fire, roasting marshmallows, riding bikes around the campsite and hanging out with all the other father's and son's.

Andy and his buddies Eli and Isaac had a great time exploring the campground. They found lots of cool things out in the woods. They were pretty proud of the bones they found. It looks like a really beautiful place to camp.

Yard work is never ending...

We decided that it was time to tackle the backyard this year. I am sick of the 3+ hours it takes to mow the lawn each week. We thought it would be a great idea to break up the lawn and put in a whole garden area in the end of the yard. Plus it would cut my mowing time down quite a bit. We plan to add more square foot garden boxes, some fruit trees and sometime in the future a shed.
First thing on the to do list: Get rid of the unwanted grass.
We rented a grass cutter and went to town! That was the "easy part," rolling the grass up and lifting the heavy rolls into the truck was exhausting.

Hyrum had about 30 minutes left before he needed to return the grass cutter so we decided to cut some of the grass in the front yard. We thought, "what the heck, we already have the grass cutter. Let's do it!" haha We just added to the craziness. Oh well.

Second thing on the to do list: Moving plants around and add curbing.
We transplanted some of the plants from the back corners of the yard to the side of the house. And then my most favorite part so far.. WE had the curbing put in, I am so in love!!

Next on the to do list: Ground cover, wood chips and some fruit trees. This is by far the longest task for sure. We ran out of ground cover twice and three full truckloads of wood chips didn't cover the whole area, and then there were the six holes dug for four trees. (I couldn't decide where I wanted each tree. :/ )

And the work continues..
