South Fork Canyon

Hyrum and I decided to be brave and take our two kids camping over the weekend. The plan was to stay two nights, and pack as little as possible. Well, we sadly found out that packing for a family of four is a lot harder than just packing the bear minimum for two. he he Kids two and under require some much stuff. Friday morning, Hyrum left early to get some hours in at work and left me to finish packing and take care of the kids. (lucky me right?) After about two hours the car was packed, and it was GO time!

The ride up there was pretty good. The kids slept most of the way there, and were pretty upbeat and happy when they woke up. We found a spot in the Upper Meadows campground. It was pretty nice, so we set up camp. For dinner we made some tin foil dinners. They turned out great! Lyllee even shared some of hers with Andy.

It took a few tries to get it into Andy's mouth and to stay there but, she had lots of fun feeding her brother.

Saturday morning was pretty eventful. When we started pulling things out for breakfast, we found out that "Someone" didn't pack a bowl for mixing the pancakes and forgot a spatula. I don't know who could have done that?! Luckily, Huntsville was only a short trip down the road. So, we ate a few mini donuts to hold us over until we got back.
Later in the day, we took the kids down to Pineview Lake. Andy was pretty excited about all the sand that he could play with/try to eat. He got used to the cold water pretty fast too. Lyllee and I finished our Swim Class earlier in the week so, she was READY for the water!

Here are a few cute pictures from the beach.

Our trip was cut short. Hyrum got a bad sunburn on his back, and the kids got really awnry during dinner. So, we went home Saturday night. It was a really fun trip. We went on a nature walk, to the Monastery in Huntsville and saw the chants, went swimming and made smores! It was a fun little trip.
