You have been CROWNED!

Last June Hyrum had to have his front tooth pulled because of a childhood accident that never really went away. He was riding his bike down the hill, hit on the brakes, fell over and broke his tooth in half on a man hole. The dentist couldn't see Hyrum until the next day. The dentist put a crown on the other half of his broken tooth. Well, the story doesn't end there unfortunately. Hyrum still had problems with this tooth for years after this. This poor tooth kept getting infected and Hyrum decided last June to just pull the tooth out and get an implant. So, about nine months, a flapper tooth and four thousand dollars later..
he finally has a new tooth!

Goodbye NOX!

About a month ago we decided to try to fit a third car seat into our Equinox and found that it would not work and eventually we would have to up size to a van. I was sad and threw a fit for about a day and then came to terms with our loss. If you know me, you would know that I am NOT a van person!

So, over the last month we have been up and down the Wasatch front in search of the right van that I could feel "comfortable" in and not be too embarrassed. One of the problems the we kept running into was that no one was willing to give us what our car (equinox) was worth. We checked all the consumer reports and knew that we owed as much as it was worth. We were not upside-down in this car. Another problem was the price of the van. It was always the more expensive one that we really liked.

Finally today after leaving yet another dealership discouraged, we decided to go to this little lot. They had 4 different vans to choose from. We found one that we liked, it was a good price AND! the guy was willing to give us what our car was worth without adding it to the final bill! It was like a fairy tale..

We signed the papers, said good bye to NOXY and went on our way. I guess we are now set for this new baby to come in June. Yahoo! I shall post some pictures of our van later.

We had a good Valentines Day filled with LOTS of good food and treats. Our festivities actually started Saturday night. Our ward had a Valentines dinner party. So, Hyrum and I got a babysitter for the kids and headed off to some of our neighbors house for dinner. There were four couples there. We had a sort of tomato basil chicken thing that was really good with some veggies and a salad. The main conversation at dinner was about just that.. dinner food. We have some really good cooks in our ward.

After dinner we met the everyone at the church for dessert. The first thing I thought when I walked into the gym was HIGH SCHOOL DANCE! lol There were decorations everywhere! In the middle of the room there were three long tables PACKED FULL of desserts! Everything from eclairs, cream puffs, stuffed strawberries to apple cobbler. I was so full from dinner that I couldn't try everything. There were desserts that I had never seen before. (the kid from willey wonka would have died if they saw all the different chocolate things!) They had a really short block of entertainment, a few kids sang love songs from different genres. It turned out to be pretty fun and filling!

This morning, I cooked everyone french toast and Hyrum made his awesome hash browns. For lunch we went to the Texas Roadhouse. It was a long wait with kids but the food there is pretty good. We took Lyllee around when the weather cleared up a little to deliver a few Valentines. She really enjoyed making them but, was a little sad to give them away. lol She got over that really quick when we went by my grandma's house. My grandma gave Lyllee a valentine full of candy. This evening my sister came up and made a chicken pot pie dinner for everyone. For dessert she made some fruit pizzas. I'm sure that in the last two days I must have gained at least 2-3 pounds.

This Valentine's Day has been really fun.

My little burrito babies!

Okay, my son is 17 months old and still likes to get rolled up like a burrito to go to bed. It must be pretty comfortable to be all bundled up. I, myself like to be bundled up. Not like a burrito, but you get what I mean. We think it is just great, it keeps him in bed a whole lot better than when we just put him under the covers. It's a win win situation!
However, our (starved for attention) daughter thinks that now SHE needs to be rolled up like a burrito too! This has been going on for the past few weeks. Every time we put her in bed she says, "wanna be rolled up?" lol The only problem with this is she unrolls herself about 4-5 times, and asks to be rolled up again before she finally relaxes enough to fall asleep. This has created some work for her poor prego mommy. ;)
This new bed/nap time routine has spread into the all day/everyday thing. She drags her Mermaid blanket and pillow around the basement saying, "wanna be rolled up?" Andy trying to follow everything that his big sister does usually follows in with his blanket and pillow too. He only stays rolled up for a second before he gets bored and wants to start all over again. I guess I can't complain if it entertains them, and keeps them from fighting over their toys. lol
This is from the other day. Did I mention that I also have to put her Mermaid book on top?

I snuck into their room to get a picture of Andy rolled up. Doesn't he look comfortable? I love watching my babies sleep.

To you..

To you, you know who you are.

I laid it all out on the table, told you all of my concerns and troubles..
Instead of some understanding and resolve, there was nothing.
It was like talking to a wall, uninviting and cold. That is too bad. Things could be soo much better. I wish things could get better that we might be able to move on.

Sorry.
