Hyrum took the day off to come with us to the Union Station Building. We went a couple of years ago and after telling Hyrum about it he wanted to go. It was so nice to have him there to help me with the kids. The kids all love playing inside the trains and pushing the buttons and pretending they are the conductors. I kept forgetting to take pictures so there aren't many.

Lyllee's Dance Recital
Lyllee had her end of year dance recital on June 6th in the Roy High School Auditorium. Her group danced to Gwen Stefani's song, "If I was a rich girl.." Lyllee said that her costume was really fancy and had a lot of bling bling like a rich girl. She is so funny! She danced beautifully.
After they exited the stage I went out to congratulate her on her dance. She was so happy to be done. One of her friends got flowers from her dad and Lyllee was devastated that I didn't bring her any flowers. I convinced her it would be alright. ( Grandma Owen had flowers for her) I took her up front so everyone could congratulate her and she was surprised and relieved when grammy gave her some flowers. She really is fancy just like Fancy Nancy. :)

Madelyn's Blessing Day
After church we all headed over to our house and ate some yummy food. Here are some pictures from our day.
My uncle Jay, his son Landon, my Samantha and in the background my little cousin Garrett.
Some of the party decided to stay inside where it was a lot cooler. (Left to Right: Grandma Owen, Jeremy my brother, Grandpa Parker and Grandma Parker.)
Betsy and Izzy with my mom.
Of course we had to get a picture of Lyllee. :)
Catch up!
Get ready for some serious catch up! I haven't blogged in quite a while. So many things have happened at the Taft residence since Andy's preschool graduation in MAY!!

Andy's First day of KINDERGARTEN!!
Andy was pretty excited to move from the small preschool to the "BIG SCHOOL!" All he wanted was to go to the BIG school with Lyllee so he could play on the playground.
We found Andy's classroom and his new teacher, Mrs. Hiatt. She is really nice and sweet to the kids. The first thing that she had the kids do was sit on the rug by the keva. She read them a story about a boy and his first day of Kindergarten.
Then, we broke into groups at the different tables.
Mom's and dad's received papers that talked about the classroom rules and policies, permission slips and homework that the kids would bring home each week.
Then, we decorated folders to use in the classroom.
At a different table we put together a homework folder.
We worked on our fine motor skills too!
The last thing we did was a scavenger hunt to find different places in the school.
We found the office, library, restrooms, the cafeteria..
and the stage!
The last place we found was the PLAYGROUND!!! Andy was in heaven!

Lyllee's first day of FIRST GRADE!!
My favorite things about being a FIRST GRADER are:
- I can put up my chair on top of my desk.
- We get to go on field trips.
- We get to have THREE recesses instead of only one.
- I get to eat lunch at school everyday!
- I get to check books out at the library.
- I have more friends than I had in Kindergarten. :)
- I'm learning about space too!

Lagoon
Every year my mom's work has a Lagoon Employee Appreciation day, so all my siblings and their families come up for the day. My kids love riding all the rides and spending time with their cousins. Sami grew a few inches since the year before and was able to ride more rides this year. Although she spent a lot of time in the cars that drive around a track.
We always have to ride on Bulgy the Whale.
Andy's favorite, the Helicopters.
The cars.
Boats.
Aunt Betsy and Izzy.
Madelyn's first ride ever!!
Lyllee and cousin Abi.
Andy and cousin Collin.
