Swimming Lessons

Samantha finished the Little Wave 1 class at the Clearfield Aquatic Center. She enjoyed learning new things to help her become a better swimmer. I was so proud of her just going out there and doing everything that her teacher told her to do. (There were a lot of shy and scared kids in her class)
She learned to glide on her front,
and float on her back.
One of her favorite things was telling her teacher what kind of tree she was and then her teacher would "chop her down" so she could glide on her front.

She learned to glide on her back while kicking too!
She loved jumping into the water.
On the last day of class her teacher talked to the kids about water safety.
Then they got to wear some life jackets.

The class gathered up and pretended to be drowning so the Lifeguard could come save them.
When class was over everybody got some free play in the pools. Sami had so much fun she didn't want to get out when the bell rang. We had to go pull her out.
Sami got an otter-pop at the end and a paper with all her accomplishments on it. Little Wave 1 was a success!
