My kids love to dress up so, naturally Halloween is one of their favorite holidays. Andy knew way back in May that he was going to be a pirate. Lyllee was set on being a princess again until we went shopping for Sami's costume. She spotted a Jessie the Cowgirl costume and she knew that she just HAD TO BE JESSIE! I was really happy about this because she has dressed up as a princess the past few Halloweens. Sami was the last one to decide on a costume. As I was flipping through costumes she spotted a spider costume. She was in love! I wasn't going to argue, it was the cutest spider costume ever! lol

Strawberry Pinnacles
My uncle invited us to come stay at his cabin over the weekend. Both my siblings and their families were invited to. The drive up was so great, I love the mountains in the fall. All the leaves changing, the crispy air and all the colors. Love it.
The kids had so much fun running around the property exploring everything. At night, they loved sitting by the fire and around bedtime playing up in the loft.
My silly niece Mikayla. My cousin Landon, niece Abby and Lyllee.
This picture turned out kind of weird. The smoke from the fire came in front of Lyllee.
Every time Sami sat down by the fire, she thought it was fun to play in the sand.
The boys had an air soft gun war one morning. Don't they look like serious competitors?
We drove over to Current Creek for some fishing too. It wasn't too eventful except for a few things..
1. My brother in laws first cast sent half of his fishing rod into the water. lol It was soo funny!
2. Sami's hat fell into the water and I ran in after it. My shoes, socks and bottom 6 inches of pants were soaked! I'm thinking the next time that happens, I will just let the currant take it away. Not worth it. lol
3. The biggest catch of the day was Lyllee's fish guts. Yeah.. haha pretty gross.
Lyllee looked like she was a famous person trying to not get noticed by the paparazzi. :)Dad showing Sami how to fish. So cute.
Andy was so happy to finally see how well he did after practicing all week.My brother, his son and my brother in law stayed longer and ended up catching a few fish.
It was a really fun trip. My kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. I really enjoyed all the super amazing dinners we had (dutch oven peach cobbler, tin foil dinners and dutch oven beans and bbq chicken). I love me some good camping food. uh-huh!!
Andy's first day of Preschool (September)
Andy was so excited for his first day of school, that is, until we pulled up to the building. He started getting really nervous and didn't want to go in. He was supposed to start his tumbling class first and then head over to his preschool class. He refused to get out of the car, until Lyllee offered to take him in to his tumbling class. Lyllee told him it was really fun in there and that Miss Courtney was really nice. That was all Andy needed, his big sister to take his hand and guide him. They walked into tumbling class and he jumped right in!
We waited around for him to finish tumbling class so we could make sure that he wasn't afraid to go into preschool. He had no trouble going into class. He found his seat and started putting beads on a string.

Lyllee's First day of Kindergarten
Lyllee was so excited to start her first day of school today. She has had her backpack and first day outfit ready for a couple of weeks now. We weren't sure who her teacher was going to be, the list that was posted online just said staff. Luckily when we got to Lyllee's classroom, we met her new teacher. She is going to be in Mrs. Gardner's afternoon kindergarten class. Mrs. Gardner is very nice and actually teaches morning kindergarten at another school.
Lyllee was given a few tasks to get started.
She made a science folder, homework folder and a journal.
Lyllee deep in thought.. lol
When she was done with all her projects, she headed over to the cubbies to find her name.
Then she was sent on a Rodeo Round-up. Lyllee thought it was pretty fun going on a scavenger hunt around the school to become familiar with the important places like the office, library and the playground.
I think she is really going to enjoy her first year in a big school!

*FireFlies*
Lyllee's last dance recital of the year.
It was so fun to see Lyllee up on stage dancing. She wasn't scared at all. I got a little emotional when the music started. My baby is growing up soo fast! (The quality isn't too good on full screen)

5K RUN
A couple of weeks ago Hyrum signed up for a 5k run at work. The run was to for all the soldiers MIA. Hyrum was a little nervous because he had never ran a 5k race before. He did really well. They even gave him a t-shirt for being one of the first 100 people to sign-up.
Lyllee and Andy waiting patiently for their daddy to pass one of the check points.
Sami was excited to. She was all smiles.
Lyllee and Andy pulled out there special binoculars for a better look.
It wasn't too long of a wait before Hyrum past us.
After he past us, we jumped back into the car and drove back over to the finish line. Just in time too!
FINISHED!!
24 minutes and 31 seconds
Yay!! We are so proud of you Hyrum!

Soccer Stars
I signed Lyllee and Andy up for Tiny Tot Soccer this year. I thought it would be a good way for them to get out, stretch their legs and have some fun. My friend Laura signed her daughter up and I got my sister-in-law to sign her son up. It's pretty funny we make up most of the team. lol They had their first two games last week. It was so cute to watch them shadow their coach as she was showing them what to do.
Here is Lyllee kicking the ball into the net making her FIRST goal! She was SO excited.
It took a few minutes for Andy to understand just what to do. Every time he kept trying to get the ball he would dive down and try to pick it up with his hands. After a few whistle blows he figured it out. After the game he told me his favorite part of the game was throwing the ball in after it had been kicked out of bounds.
Sami wanted in on all the fun too. She found a ball and kicked it right into the net. I guess we will have to sign her up when she is old enough.
